Kitchen Coordinators: Six people (Open to 16+) oversee the coordination of bread workers in their kitchen work during each meal served at camp. This coordinating job involves training, explaining, and pitching in to help when needed, to bread workers what needs to be done in the kitchen before and after each meal they coordinate. Kitchen work is fast paced, intense, and physical. Coordinators work closely with the kitchen staff to figure out what needs to be done. There are 6 meal coordinators, 2 per meal. Shifts can be split between Coordinators if both are fully capable and comfortable in their respective roles, pursuant to the needs of specific meals and the advice of the Kitchen Witch (kw). Meal Coordinators look to the KW for ongoing support, problem solving, and conflict resolution if needed. Coordinators will attend a training session on Sat before the first meal, and all coordinators will be present at Sat dinner to begin their hands-on training by KW. Will also attend a check in meeting mid-week, facilitated by KW.
Work time involved: Every day between: 7am – 9am for Breakfast, 12-2pm, for Lunch, and 5:30-7:30pm for Dinner.
Compensation: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Coordinators: $175 per person

Evening Snack Coordinators: Two people (One person 18+, One person 16+) to put out late night snacks for campers after evening ritual/events, put away snack leftovers, then clean and secure the kitchen and lodge after late evening snack. This is a good job for night Owls as it can mean staying up until 1 a.m. Coordinators will attend a training session on Sat. before our first meal, and all kitchen coordinators will be present at Sat. dinner to begin their hands-on training by the Kitchen Priestex.
Work time involved: 1-2 hours per day after evening ritual/events.
Compensation: $100 per person, or $200 for 1 person.

Kitchen Witch: One Person (Open to 18+) to oversee the Kitchen Coordinators, the Evening Snack Coordinators, and liaison with the F&W kitchen staff. Train and support meal coordinators and ensure smooth communication between the kitchen and meal coordinators. KW will be present at every meal to check in with coordinators and address any issues that arise. Kitchen Witch will hold a training session during the first day of camp on Sat., and facilitate Sat. dinner set up and clean up with all meal coordinators present. KW will be present at every meal on the first day of camp to continue training the meal coordinators at their respective meals. KW will facilitate mid-week meeting with all coordinators to address any issues and provide feedback. Requires an experienced camper with some kitchen experience, good communication skills, and attention to detail.
Work time involved: 3-4 hours a day.
Compensation: $250

Shuttle Drivers: Three drivers (Open to 18+) would be responsible for taking people with mobility needs to and from their morning paths, evening rituals, meals and some optional offerings. This job requires sensitivity to the needs of the people you are driving, promptness, and a pleasant manner. Drivers work closely with the Shuttle coordinator. You don’t need to use your own vehicle, but if you have a high clearance vehicle and will use it you receive an additional $100
Time involved: 2-2 ½ hours per day
Compensation: $225 per person

Shuttle coordinator (New position - previously half of Special needs Coordinator position)
You, along with site Access and Comfort Coordinator will help create a camp where all share in the responsibility to make VWC more accessible and welcoming. We are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills! You will interact with campers, on site access/comfort coordinator, and camp planners.
You will communicate with campers both before and at camp who request assistance with shuttle accommodation and with new pilot project to increase lake front access with twice/daily shuttles using host’s all terrain golf carts, staffed by hosts.

On Site Access and Comfort Coordinator, (New position - previously half of Special needs coordinator position) You and the Shuttle Coordinator will help create a camp where you share in the responsibility to make VWC more accessible and welcoming to all. We are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills! You will interact with campers, shuttle coordinator, and camp planners.
You will help us stay on top of the risks we face in attending camp during the Covid pandemic. Please make yourself familiar with local and VWC COVID-19 protocols.
You will communicate with campers both before and at camp who request assistance with accommodation, mobility, first aid/health concerns, food sensitivity and allergies.

Kybo Coordinators: Two people (Open to 15+) - The camp has a unique system of composting toilets called kybos. These open air wonders need 2 people to make sure they are supplied with sawdust and toilet paper daily. You must be willing and able to climb up and down steep paths to check kybos in different locations.
Time involved: 1- 1/2 hours per day
Compensation: $125 per person

Post Camp Clean Up: Three People (Open to 15+) to oversee the cleaning and closing of camp. Post camp clean up work exchange crew works directly with the at-camp organizing group to develop a clear and effective schedule for the cleanup of camp. They will recruit and oversee teams of campers for specific clean up areas. Post camp clean up crew will gather and distribute supplies to all cleanup camper groups and troubleshoot between the organizing campers and F&W liaison to ensure that all areas of camp are cleaned. You will attend a meeting on Tue. or Wed. with camp planners to develop clean up details and decide on how to best implement the schedule.
Time Involved: 1 or 2 planning meetings, plus a bunch of time on the last day of camp. You will need to plan to stay later than most people on the last day of camp.
Compensation: $125 per person
