Odin and Yggdrasil

This year at Vermont Witch Camp we venture to the Norse lands.
Come into the hall of the mystics, the warriors and the hearth keepers

and sit among the branches of the world tree, Yggdrasil.
We follow Odin in his search and sacrifice for the getting of wisdom.
We seek for ourselves the Runes of knowledge, truth and power.
Look up, look around, look among the leaves,
they (the Runes) might be closer than you know.

Join us as we venture to the Norse Lands. One hundred and twenty five of us, a diverse group of al ages, will gather together in the Reclaiming tradition of witchcraft, rooted in the magic and religion of the sacred mysteries, manifesting a union of spirit and political activism. Throughout the week we will learn and enrich our magical skills through a daily path experience, affinity groups, optional workshops and community rituals.

We share this time in opening, stretching, empowering and transforming our community, the world and ourselves. This is a magical intensive, offering an opportunity to deepen personal connection to the sacred in all the realms.

Camp is hosted by Farm and Wilderness, a Quaker camp founded on earth friendly principles. It is built on a beautiful wooded and very steep mountainside. The lake sits at the bottom of this land, and our ritual circle at the top touches the stars. The dining hall, cabins and path sites are in between - literally everywhere you walk is either up or down. This terrain is rugged. We regret that we are not wheelchair accessible, and will work with you to make the physical challenges of this land less prohibitive.

Reclaiming's core values are caring for the environment, permaculture, self-determination for all human beings, embracing diversity, supporting the values of peace, community and family, and participating in efforts to support social justice. We agree to abide by the Reclaiming principles of Unity and the Wiccan Rede.
