Ritual
Co-Creation for Camp and Beyond ... or ... ItTakes a Village to
Raise a Cone of Power
with Endora and Sayre
Several scholars
have noted that creative ritual planning is one of the defining
religious practices of contemporary Wicca. Other not so scholarly
pagans have described ritual planning as herding cats.
In this path, we will consider what works and what doesnt
work in ritual planning and in rituals themselves, and how best
to craft rituals that most fully realize the magical intention.Together
we will consider the foundations and structures (the whys
and hows) ofWiccan ritual, both intellectually
and experientially. We will review and widen our ritual skills such
as introducing rituals, casting, invoking, grounding, and aspecting
with an eye to crafting artful effective rituals. Using the camp
themes and myths as our material, we will workshop ritual ideas
in small and large groups, get feedback from the group and then
bring our ideas to the larger community of those co-creating rituals. We
will also consider the power dynamics of gender, age, experience,
and skill in community ritual planning and explore best practices
for creating rituals that are participatory, inclusive AND effective.
And if ritual is an art form, what are the limits of consensus,
collaboration and inclusion on the creation of powerful devotional
art?
Participants in
this path are charged with drawing on the strengths and talents
of the camp community to help co-create evening rituals. Those joining
this path should have experience in ritual planning and leadership,
or have participated significantly in Reclaiming rituals and be
ready to step into ritual facilitation.

Bungling Back to Life /The Fool's Journey
to Healing OurWorld
with
Beverly
and Ashera
Rooted in the
deep personal courage and ferocious compassion of author and activist
Joanna Macy's source book, Coming Back to Life, we step off the
cliff from fear to creative energy, apathy to compassion, alienation
to a felt sense of our radical interconnection.
We will touch
the deep chords of grief for our world, and laugh at our impossible
predicaments. We will sing, dance and tell our stories, challenging
each other and ourselves with the tough questions, questions that
will open the floodgates to new songs and stories, new personal
mantras. With the help of our tarot allies we will gain
insight and wisdom. In this process of tears and laughter, pulling
together the magical threads, we weave theWeb of Healing through
our inner being, our community, and our world.
Bring masks and
costumes, musical instruments and tarot decks for aspecting Tarot
Archetypes. And plan to go home with a new medicine bundle of personal
tools and healing rituals for Awakening.

Sounds of Ecstasy&Devotion
Alphonsus
and Crystalline Ruby Muse
This is a path
for raucous music - indulgents as well as all sonic searchers. If
you love or desire to delve deeply and divinely into the throes
of melody, harmony, & rhythm, to tumble & play with cadence,
timber, & melisma, come & worship with us.
In this path,
we will invoke a relentless courtship of the Divine within a swelling
house of song. Join us as we listen & feel with our whole beings,
lingering at the holy shrine of stillness within. Out this silent
rhapsody will erupt a geyser of words & spells to infuse our
music-making & quench our poets' hearts. Here, we will immerse
ourselves in the mystery & luxury of sound, passionate, poignant,
& provocative. We will emerge knowing ourselves as the inspired
& radiant ones we have always been.
We will then offer
this inspiration and radiance to the entire camp by weaving the
musical fabric of the whole week ... invigorating the afternoon
lulls, underpinning the evening rituals, punctuating unexpected
moments, & inspiration the very air we all breath with our joyful
noise!
Please bring voices,
instruments, bodies, souls, journals, & a willingness to go
there.
Youth
Tribe
Charles & Hannah
Once
upon a time there was a tribe of witches, gathering yearly in the
woods to do their rituals and work their magic. While the adult witches
wove magic and had an unfortunate number of meetings the youth would
slip away. This tribe of youth would venture off to work some magic
themselves.
For
youth have a magic that is entirely their own!
Their
magic is so mysterious and secret it has not ever been written down,
though there are rumors. Some say they head to the woods finding
faerie portals to climb into or crawl into caves to talk with the
earth. Others say they can light fires from nothing and float themselves
on water (you do know witches float!).There are reports of them sitting in the branches of trees like a flock of strange birds and
sneaking like a pack of wolves through the tall grass.
There is little known of the ways of the young witches - however
one thing is certain. They like to have fun...and fun they have!
Calling
all members of the youth tribe. Come and join the adventure of youth
magic!

Pixie
Path
with Rosemary
Pixie
Path will take palce at the Barn Day Camp, where I have done programs
for 3&4-year-olds for 10 summers. We will set up a magical space
where young children (and their adult allies) can explore symbols
of our magical tradition in a hands-on, interactive way. We will
add to this experience with a thematic program integrating story,
song, movement, art, the garden, all of our senses, the elements,
and more.
Elements
of Healing
Rose May Dance, Davis and Morgan
This
Healing Arts path is organized as Air, Fire,Water, Earth, and Spirit. We
examine health and healing as we work with boundaries, rapport and
rhythm. We develop energy-sensing, reading, and sharing skills, release
and
clear subtle energies, practice moving energy, and examine attunement
technologies, including optional Reiki attunement. We work with charging
water, learn about hydration and hydrotherapy, and explore divination-related
treatment. We polish our grounding skills, learn techniques for energetic
release, and explore basic herbology. As healers we attend to self
care, ethical perspectives, and practice skills of the healer/priest/ess.
In this class we work on ourselves and on other people.

Trance
Dance
Cyd, Dan and Tim
Each
day sacred space will be created, followed by a body movement warm
up. After the day's intention is set by a short spoken trance induction,
musical support for movement and continued trance will be created
by the facilitators. Participants will be encouraged to dance/move,
add vocal accompaniment or simply partake of the energy offered.
Opening to deep trance to further spiritual connection will be our
goal. Content will be determined primarily by the participants,
and direction will be at a minimum after the structure is set up
and explained at the beginning of path.
This path will fill an experiential/ecstatic niche offering powerful,
intentional energy for self-directed work with a minimum of words/intellectual
energy.

Walking
into the Pentacle
Selchie and SophiaHeath
Join SophiaHeath and Selchie in this opportunity to
explore the tools we each carry within us. Starting with the Feri
inspired pentacles of Iron and Pearl our week will culminate in
developing our own pentacles as tools for magic and personal practice.
Each day, within the container of sacred space, we walk the pentacle,
opening to its
mysteries. Using magikal tools including the blade, wand, cup, pentacle,
cards and allies seen and unseen we delve into the unfolding of
our personal practice, the on-going dance rooted in the pentacle
itself.Take the dream and make it real

Self-Guided
Path
For
the past few years, there has been a group of people who opt to
co-create their own path work each morning, without specific teachers
leading. Some paint, some work with aspecting and deep witness,
some with the tarot. There may be people choosing this option again.
Not a traditional "path", this is place for people who
want to co-create their camp experience. This is a gathering of
like-minded people supporting one another in personal and collective
magic. What form it takes will depend upon who hears the call.
